Omega-3 Fatty Acids, (EPA, DHA)
Omega-3 is one of the most potent supplements you can give to your dog. Many studies have shown the wide-ranging positive effects on the health of dogs. They are essential for many physiological functions including cell membrane structure, skin and coat health, vision, and joint function.
The most powerful of the Omega-3 Fatty Acids are Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA). Although dogs are able to convert limited amounts of the less powerful Alpha-linolenic Acid (ALA) to EPA and DHA, the process isn't very efficient.
